TikTok Ads MCP Server for Claude, ChatGPT & Cursor
AdsCove Product & Engineering · Last verified October 20, 2026
Reports, wasted spend, stop-loss checks, disabled drafts
Direct answer
AdsCove is a hosted TikTok Ads MCP server. Connect your TikTok advertiser in the browser, add one remote endpoint to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or Codex, and the AI can read campaigns, ad groups, ads, and reporting directly. Creating campaigns, ad groups, or ads, uploading creative, and changing budgets, status, bids, or automated rules all wait for your explicit approval, and new objects start DISABLE.
What TikTok Ads MCP means
A TikTok Ads MCP server exposes TikTok advertising data and actions as structured tools an AI client can call, instead of pasting Ads Manager screenshots or CSV exports into a chat. AdsCove adds an ecommerce operating layer: the same connection can bring optional Shopify orders plus Meta Ads and Google Ads evidence into the conversation, so TikTok-reported results can be checked against store revenue before anything changes.
How to connect TikTok Ads to Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor
With AdsCove there is no local TikTok Ads MCP server to install. You authorize the TikTok advertiser once in the browser, and every remote-MCP client you use reaches it through the same endpoint, next to any Meta Ads, Google Ads, or Shopify accounts you have connected.
AdsCove uses progressive tool discovery: the AI calls discover_adscove_tools to find the TikTok tool it needs, then runs it through run_adscove_tool. Reads return data directly; writes come back as a pending action that you approve in the chat (approve_action) or in the AdsCove console.
- In AdsCove → Connections, choose TikTok Ads and approve the advertiser accounts on TikTok's authorization screen. If you authorize several advertisers at once, each is saved separately and you enable the ones you want to use.
- Add https://adscove.com/api/mcp to your AI client and sign in with OAuth, or use an AdsCove API key where OAuth is not supported.
- Call list_connections to confirm the right advertiser; pass account_id to TikTok tools when more than one advertiser is connected.
- Start read-only: tiktok_get_campaign_performance for a date range, then tiktok_analyze_wasted_spend or tiktok_evaluate_stop_loss.
- Let the AI propose changes; drafts, uploads, budgets, status, bids, and automated rules run only after you approve that specific action.

TikTok Ads MCP server URL: what to paste into Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor
The AdsCove TikTok Ads MCP server URL is https://adscove.com/api/mcp. It is the same remote endpoint for TikTok Ads, Meta Ads, Google Ads, and Shopify, so there is no TikTok-only URL, port, or local server to run.
The URL contains no advertiser ID, token, or API key. Connect the TikTok advertiser in AdsCove first, then paste the URL wherever your client asks for a remote MCP server or custom connector URL and sign in with OAuth (or an AdsCove API key in clients without OAuth, such as Windsurf).
- Claude (web / Desktop): Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector → paste the URL → authorize AdsCove.
- Claude Code: Add it from the terminal with claude mcp add instead of Settings → Connectors.
- ChatGPT (web): Developer mode → create an app → paste the URL as the MCP server → OAuth.
- Cursor: Settings → MCP → add a remote server with the URL → Authenticate.
- Codex: codex mcp add adscove --url https://adscove.com/api/mcp, then codex mcp login adscove.
- Windsurf: Put the URL in mcp_config.json under serverUrl with an AdsCove API key header (Windsurf uses an API key rather than OAuth).

How to connect
Connect TikTok Ads in AdsCove → Connections and approve access on TikTok's authorization screen, then add https://adscove.com/api/mcp to your AI client. AdsCove operates the TikTok API for Business integration, so you do not create a TikTok developer app or paste an access token into the AI client. OAuth is available in compatible clients; an AdsCove API key is the fallback.
Why use AdsCove
- Remote Streamable HTTP endpoint — no TikTok access token stored in the AI client
- Normalized campaign and ad performance: spend, conversions, CPA, ROAS, and reported revenue
- Wasted-spend and funnel stop-loss checks that list what to disable without changing anything
- Advertiser status, balance, and ad-review rejection reasons for ads that are approved but not spending
- Disabled campaign, ad-group, and ad creation, plus ad-group duplication into a new disabled ad group
- Local video and image upload to the TikTok ad library through a signed upload ticket
- Blended ROAS that divides Shopify GMV by combined Meta, Google, and TikTok spend

Frequently asked questions
What is the TikTok Ads MCP server URL?
For AdsCove it is https://adscove.com/api/mcp, the same remote URL used for Meta Ads, Google Ads, and Shopify. Paste it into your client's remote MCP or custom connector field and sign in with OAuth, or use an AdsCove API key where OAuth is unsupported. The URL contains no advertiser ID or token.
Can a TikTok Ads MCP launch or change live ads on its own?
Not through AdsCove. Every TikTok write, from creating a campaign to changing a budget, returns a pending action that runs only after you approve it. Campaigns, ad groups, and ads are created with operation_status=DISABLE, so turning one on is a separate approved tiktok_update_status call.
Do I need a TikTok developer app or access token?
No. AdsCove operates the TikTok API for Business integration. You authorize your advertiser on TikTok's own OAuth screen in the browser, and the AI client never receives the TikTok access token.
Does it work with Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor?
Yes. Any client that supports remote MCP servers can connect, including Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Codex, Gemini CLI, and Windsurf. Clients with remote-MCP OAuth sign in directly; others use an AdsCove API key.
What does the TikTok stop-loss check look at?
tiktok_evaluate_stop_loss compares enabled ad groups with funnel rules and lists which ones to disable. The default rules are no_add_to_cart_spend 5, no_checkout_spend 10, no_purchase_spend 15, min_cpm 3 and min_ctr 0.5 after 2,000 impressions, and max_cpa 40 after 45 spend; you can override any rule or set it to null to skip it. The check itself changes nothing.
Can I upload a local video for a TikTok ad?
Yes. request_video_upload_ticket returns a one-hour signed upload URL for one local video (mp4, mov, or webm up to 500 MiB) or image (jpg or png up to 30 MiB). The AI then passes the storage_key to tiktok_upload_video or tiktok_upload_image, which is an approval-gated write that returns the TikTok video_id or image_id.
Is TikTok Ads included on the Free plan?
TikTok read tools are available on the Free plan. Write tools such as drafts, uploads, budget, and status changes need a paid plan, and each TikTok advertiser counts toward your plan's ad-account limit. Current limits are on the Pricing page.
Is AdsCove TikTok's official MCP?
No. AdsCove is an independent hosted MCP service that connects to TikTok through authorized TikTok API for Business access.
